Summary of the role
As a part of Corebridge Financials’ Centralized General Operating Expense & Functional Finance team within Finance, the IT Expense Analyst will work as part of the Corebridge IT Functional Finance Expense team. Functional Finance plays a critical role in developing functional financial plans and analyzing financial impacts of functional directives, including staffing and external expenditures. Primary functions will include analyzing and communicating financial impacts of key functional directives to senior finance and business stakeholders, budgeting and governing functional spend working closely with functional leaders and delivering regular management reporting to promote expense discipline. The IT Expense Analyst is also involved in the preparation, analysis, and presentation of monthly and quarterly actual and forecast reporting for expenses related to Corebridge IT Financials. This position will report to the Head of IT Expense Management.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for Infrastructure rate card filed with NYDFS
  • Continually improve metrics and reporting for end user and application-based charges
  • Timely submission of chargeback and IT True-Up entries pursuant to Accounting close calendar
  • Supporting documentation for chargeback management reporting (aka Bill of IT)
  • Initial port of contact for chargeback inquiries
  • Monthly running of IT chargeback and billing of ~$400M
  • Monthly three-way reconciliation of net GOE to chargeback to recoveries
  • Provide budget and forecast chargeback to each legal entity to provide and entry into each BU budget submission
  • Submit legacy LR chargeback submission
  • Provide regular reporting and analysis for functional financial drivers across a range of metrics
  • Provide analytical insight and in-depth analysis of on-going operations for functional leaders related to functional expenditure
  • Develop BPC and other reports to aid in analyzing key trends and variances
  • Prepare, analyze, and present critical recurring reporting, including the annual budgets and monthly forecasts
  • Validate financial impact of initiatives and track delivery of value creation to commitments Engage closely with Corebridge Executive Leadership Team and Finance Leadership team, providing finance reports and updates against financial impacts
  • Centrally oversee financial analysis and reporting provided by Accenture resources, serving as a critical stakeholder in the partnership
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Demonstrated experience of budget and expense management
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development
  • Knowledge of IT/Finance infrastructure and systems, including SAP
  • Strong customer orientation with the ability to build sustainable relationships
  • Possess strong research, analytical and practical problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability Excellent interpersonal communication and client engagement skills – Able to work effectively and communicate with all levels of an organization, including executive management
  • Aptitude in decision-making and problem solving; comfort and experience in managing ambiguity
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy along with excellent documentation skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
