Position Summary
A detail-orientated Junior/Senior Accountant with over 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience. Adept in financial reporting, budgeting, assisting with audits, and third-party billing reconciliation. Proven ability to navigate complex accounting regulations in healthcare environments. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working closely with clinical and administrative leadership.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Month-end and year-end close: Assisting with month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing adjusting, and closing entries.
- Financial Statement Preparation: Preparing financial statements, reports, and regulatory filings.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Contributing to budget preparation and financial forecasting & variance analysis
- Payroll reconciliation (Paycom, or similar)
- Fixed asset management
- Financial policy and internal controls development
- Bank and Account Reconciliation and Analysis: Reconciling accounts, analyzing financial data, and investigating discrepancies.
- Audit and Tax Support (internal/external): Assisting with internal and external audits and tax preparation.
- Process Improvement: Identifying opportunities to enhance accounting systems and procedures.
- Compliance: Ensuring compliance with GAAP and other accounting regulations.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (Required).
- Experience: 3-5 years of accounting experience (Required).
- Skills: Strong analytical skills, communication skills, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and advanced Excel user.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in accounting software, preferably Microsoft GP 365 and Microsoft Office Suite.
