What are the responsibilities and job description for the Junior Purchasing Agent position at CORECHEM Inc.?
Privately-owned, family run business in the midst of dynamic growth seeking to hire a full time junior purchasing agent. The junior buying agent CORECHEM seeks to hire would be expected to embody these same values. This individual would be responsible for working as a part of our larger team to ensure that all the supply chain needs of the business are met.
As an organization, CORECHEM would, in turn, seek to offer this new hire:
--Training in the specific responsibilities and skills necessary to excellently support various departments within the business, most specifically the purchasing portions of the business.
--Compensation commensurate with industry and experience to include: hourly pay (PAY RANGE: $18-$20 per hour, dependent on experience), PTO, vacation, health insurance, and retirement benefits.
This position would be ideal for an individual with:
--Eagerness to bring excellence and excitement to their daily work
--Problem solving and creative skills to overcome difficulties and obstacles
--Math proficiency necessary to perform basic calculations and forecasting. Candidate will not need to excel in upper level math but will need to possess excellent arithmetic and basic algebra skills, as they are fundamental to the execution of many of the daily tasks for this position.
--Organizational and time management skills necessary to effectively manage both urgent daily tasks and longer term, ongoing projects and follow up.
--Excellent communication and computer skills (spanning phone, email, and basic Microsoft Office suite software, most specifically a knowledge of fundamental Excel formulas and processes)
--Resilience in seasons of the business during which the position proves particularly stressful (seasonal spikes in demand, unexpected complications, etc.)
--Excellent attention to detail and follow up
