Mental Health Coordinator Job Description
We are seeking a Mental Health Coordinator to join our team at CoreCivic of Tennessee LLC. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and providing clinical mental health services of a non-medical nature in our facility.
Job Requirements
- LPC, LCSW, or LMFT licensure in Arizona is required.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Mental Health Coordinator will conduct mental health screenings and assessments based on available records and clinical interviews with inmates. They will provide treatment to inmates by developing, implementing, and modifying individual treatment plans based on an evaluation of needs and level of functioning.
The coordinator will document treatment and evaluation activities in the healthcare record for each person seen. They must maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive materials and information at all times.
The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge of psychological counseling theory and techniques for treatments and activities used for individuals in their caseload.
They will provide appropriate mental health assessments, counseling, and crisis interventions to address the needs of inmates.
