Job Responsibilities
As a Correctional Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining order and security of inmates in a correctional facility. You may be assigned to various posts, including armory/key control, housing units, kitchen, medical, visitation, etc.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED certification, or equivalent required
Training and Certification
Once hired, you will be required to complete pre-service correctional officer training and, where applicable, be a non-commissioned security officer licensed by the state of employment.
