What are the responsibilities and job description for the Correctional Facility Leader position at CoreCivic?
As a Correctional Facility Leader at CoreCivic, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care in a secure setting. Our correctional, detention and reentry facilities nationwide require dedicated professionals like you to oversee daily operations and programs.
The successful candidate will direct, administer and coordinate the management of the facility, with oversight and direction of the Warden. This position acts with full authority in the absence of the Warden.
To be eligible for this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in Social or Behavioral Science or a related field. Additionally, six years of correctional work experience, including two years at the Chief of Security or Chief of Unit Management level, is required.
Key qualifications include:
- A comprehensive understanding and knowledge of correctional facility management principles and practices
- Pertinent corrections laws, rules and regulations
- Principles and practices of supervision and training
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
