In this role, you will plan and provide clinical mental health services of a non-medical nature in the facility, making a lasting impact on the lives of our clients.
You will conduct comprehensive mental health screenings and assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide counseling and crisis interventions as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough mental health screenings and assessments based on available records and clinical interviews with inmates.
- Develop, implement, and modify individual treatment plans tailored to each client's needs and level of functioning.
- Maintain accurate documentation of treatment activities in the healthcare record for each client seen.
- Preserve confidentiality of sensitive information at all times.
- Demonstrate expertise in psychological counseling theory and techniques through the use of evidence-based treatments and activities.
- Provide timely and effective mental health assessments, counseling, and crisis interventions to address the needs of our clients.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a related clinical field.
- A minimum of five years of clinical experience, including two years in a comparable position.
- Appropriate certification or licensure in the state where practice occurs.
- A valid driver's license is preferred unless required by contract or applicable statute.
- Minimum age requirement: Must be at least 18 years old.
