We are seeking a per diem/prn Correctional Mental Health professional for an ongoing position in Eden, Texas.

In our organization, mental health professionals play a vital role in making lasting changes in the lives of offenders.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and providing clinical mental health services of a non-medical nature in the facility.
- Conduct mental health screenings and assessments based on available records and clinical interviews with inmates.
- Provide treatment to inmates by developing, implementing, and modifying individual treatment plans based on an evaluation of needs and level of functioning.
- Document treatment and evaluation activities in the healthcare record for each person seen.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive materials and information at all times.
- Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of psychological counseling theory and techniques by way of treatments and activities used for individuals in caseload.
- Provide appropriate mental health assessments, counseling, and crisis interventions to address the needs of inmates.
Qualifications
- A Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a related clinical area is required.
- Five years of clinical experience, including two years in a comparable job position, is required.
- Possessing certification or licensing in the state where practice occurs is mandatory.
- A valid driver's license is preferred unless required by contract or applicable statute.
