Job Title: Correctional Substance Use Counselor

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and interviews to determine individual and group needs.
- Develop and implement effective treatment plans, utilizing standardized offender assessment information.
- Facilitate individual and group treatment interventions, promoting positive attitudes, skills, and coping mechanisms for ongoing recovery.
- Maintain confidentiality of clinical files and adhere to written protocols and regulations.
- Monitor inmate progress, track treatment plans, and review status to ensure completion of therapeutic programs.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.
- One year of experience in mental health or substance use counseling required; alternative qualifications include a Bachelor's degree with three years of professional social work experience.
- Where applicable, possess appropriate licensure/certification.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
