Job Description
The Warehouse/Commissary Worker assists with all aspects of the warehouse and/or commissary functions, including working with teams of inmate/resident workers.
Responsibilities:
- Receives, stores, and inventories stock, supplies, and equipment used in facility operations.
- Performs accurate and timely receipt, routing, and storage of goods and cleaning chemicals.
- Conducts commissary sales transactions and processes inmate/resident order forms.
- Maintains up-to-date facility and warehouse inventories of furniture, equipment, and supplies.
- Accurately prepares records and reports as required.
- Communicates effectively with administration, staff, inmates/residents, and visitors.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- One year of experience in warehouse/commissary operation is preferred.
- Must be able to operate hand trucks, forklifts, and pallet jacks.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Minimum age requirement: Must be at least 18 years old.
