Warehouse/Commissary Worker
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Warehouse/Commissary Worker at CoreCivic.
This role involves assisting with all aspects of the warehouse and/or commissary functions, including working with and directing teams of inmate/resident workers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receives, stores, and inventories stock, supplies, and equipment utilized in the on-going operation of the commissary and for general facility operations.
- Under the direction of the supervisor, performs accurate and timely receipt, routing, and storage of goods and cleaning chemicals received in accordance with appropriate sanitation standards and applicable codes.
- Conducts commissary sales transactions, processing inmate/resident order forms, performs data entry, verifies, and delivers pulled orders to the appropriate inmate.
- Maintains up-to-date facility and warehouse inventories of all furniture, equipment, and supplies.
- Accurately and timely prepares a variety of records and reports as required.
- Communicates effectively with administration, staff, inmates/residents, and visitors.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- One year of experience in warehouse/commissary operation, including the physical control and movement of inventory is preferred.
- Must be able to operate hand truck, forklift, and/or pallet jacks.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Minimum age requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
