As the Warehouse Material Handler, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating and supporting inventory management, customer orders, and warehouse operations to meet our customers' demands efficiently and effectively.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS & RESPONSIBILTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Inventory Coordination and Control:
- Oversee inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and reconciliation processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate inventory data is communicated to Operations, Production, and Finance departments.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels and facilitate inventory movement between Orangeville and external warehousing facilities to prevent shortages and uphold high customer service standards.
- Conduct month-end and year-end inventory counts to ensure precision.
- Manage order entry processes using your proficiency in Ross and/or WMS systems to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment.
- Support load scheduling for efficient transportation logistics.
- Create necessary documentation such as pick tickets, delivery tickets, and BOLs.
- Provide hands-on assistance to production operators as needed, fostering a culture of teamwork and flexibility.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness to meet facility standards.
- Collaborate with the team to support production and sanitation efforts.
- Ensure accurate filing of counts, documentation, and communications.
- Perform any additional tasks as required.
- Uphold safety procedures and contribute to a culture of safety awareness.
- Maintain a sanitary work environment in alignment with food safety standards and BRC requirements.
- Report any food safety concerns to the QA Manager.
- Adhere to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and Prerequisite Programs.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Previous experience operating forklifts and stand-up reach trucks.
- Prior warehouse experience preferred.
- Familiarity with inventory management processes is a plus.
- Ability to carry items and climb stairs.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
