Our internship program provides hands-on learning and building experiences for students who are interested in a career in Chemistry. In addition to working on impactful projects, you will have the opportunity to engage with other employees of Core Lab for professional development, expanding your network, and participating in activities (e.g., team building, social, educational, etc.) with other interns throughout your internship.
Opportunity to gain real-life experience while producing work product for an O&G services company with an 80-year history!
PROJECT RESPOSIBILITIES
- Conduct, and analyze experiments, interpreting data to inform decision-making to prove viability of new tracers, supporting technologies and process improvements
- Research and development topics, from concept through implementation
- Analyze and interpret experimental results
- Review and optimize quality processes
- Method development and optimization
- Anticipates potential problems and takes preventative action
- Write procedures for new processes and technologies
- Provide product support for the implementation of new procedures, processes and technology
EXPERIENCE
- Ability to balance multiple projects and initiatives while executing results
- Must be a self-starter who can work independently while contributing to the team goals
- Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills are preferred
- Proven leadership/participation with campus programs and/or community service activities is desire
- Strong Research Skills required
QUALIFICATIONS
AND REQUIREMENTS
- Paid Internship
- Full time, onsite (min 30 hours per week)
- Candidates must be actively enrolled in an accredited University for the duration of the internship assignment pursuing a PhD degree in Chemistry.
- Analytical chemistry with synthetic organic/polymeric chemistry experience preferred
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to work in the city of the posting location without relocation assistance
