General Clerk III
Under minimal supervision, performs clerical office duties such as document processing, report preparation, and data retrieval and filing; responds to technical or escalated issues and assists less experienced staff; analyzes or interprets information of intermediate difficulty and draws upon knowledge of procedures and individual judgment in the performance of tasks; and researches or resolves technical and complex problems within a field of expertise following prescribed procedures. Duties: Verifies the accuracy and completeness of data submissions and forms; enters data into appropriate system or processes forms according to standard procedures. Receives, researches and interprets documentation for the purpose of completing transactions (i.e. loan settlements, purchase agreements, regulatory filings, legal documents, etc.) following defined procedures. Contacts customers outside of the work area and receives incoming inquiries; resolves technical and complex problems within field of expertise. Performs analysis of complex nature on information received, and researches or resolves issues following prescribed procedures.
Position Description:
This position will be doing a lot of data entry; data entry of pick ticket stubs into DNS screens and serve as backup to Printer room and BOL clerk tasks.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Exceptional data entry speed/accuracy plus ability to stay focused and perform work for long periods of time.
- Acts as customer service for warehouse, manage 11 printers w/sense of urgency, be able to quickly navigate multiple computer systems.
- Must be self-motivated to help coworkers during lull times.
- Excellent customer service, communication and ability to work w/varying types of personalities is necessary.
- Administrative background and have experience in a warehouse/shipping office environment and familiarity w/shipping material, DOT regulations and relationship between the two.
- Will be working in Excel occasionally, but majority of work will be in client’s mainframe/menu driven systems, DNS (Dealer Network System) and WCS.
- Experience w/inventory systems/tools/AS400 program extremely beneficial in this role; will be troubleshooting through inventory issues.
- Attention to detail, timeliness and excellent attendance are key as position is imperative in keeping operation running. Could be working at driver window or bursting tickets and distributing work/ equipment.
- Will train as backup to cover all duties of position in the department, including BOL, customs document creation, handling will-call window and responding to requests from warehouse supervisors and others w/in organization.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
HS diploma/equivalent required, but 2-year degree w/3-4 years’ experience in similar role strongly preferred.
NOTES:
2nd shift, 2pm- 10:30pm
100% Onsite position
Candidate must have metatarsals on day one. Will be on their feet up to 80% of the shift.

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
