Environmental Technician
Assist with environmental tasks including: inventory of the waste area weekly, labeling any waste that does not have labels,helping to organize waste manifests from 2024 into a binder, check online to verify that waste manifests for 2025 were submitted online from the waste disposal facility, organize data 2024 data online for upcoming audit, photo copy all waste manifests and save them to a file, assist with other environmental tasks as required.

Using the Internet of Things (IoT) and connected manufacturing principles, International's newest manufacturing facility will continue growing our market share gains, optimizing our supplier network and improving quality.
This role will support our Environmental Lead in deployment of sustainability projects, ISO 140001 deployment and other key initiatives.
Duties include:
Document waste inventory weekly. Save the inventory on the Teams Environmental site and share it with the waste vendor. Walk through the waste area every day and make sure everything is labeled.
Create waste labeling stations across the plant.
Monitor the satelite waste accumulation areas to make sure they are clean, everything is labeled and covered.
Assist with the implementation and deployment of the recycling program at the site
Assist with the implementation of the ISO 14001 documentation and training
Organize signed waste manifests.
Track waste manifests online monthly to make sure the signed manifests are posted
Prepare and organize files on the Teams Enviornmental site for the audit in December
Partner with facilities and safety as needed
Support project activities as assigned
Requirements:
Physical Requirements (Ability to do the following up to 12 hours per day):
o Walk, stand, sit, bend, twist/turn, kneel, squat, crawl
o Climb using both legs and arms
o Head/neck movement
o Reach outward or above the shoulder
o Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 45 pounds
Repetitive use of hands and fingers, both hands
Desired Skills:
Experience in a manufacturing facililty is a plus.
Basic knowledge of federal, government, state and local environmental regulations and permitting is preferred
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, Power Point, Teams)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Effective tme management and ability to prioritize mulitple tasks
Notes:
This role will support production and may require overtime and occassional Fridays as needed.
Hours: Mon-Thurs 5am-4pm with potential OT as needed, occasional Fridays
Manufacturing runs a 4x10 production schedule (Mon-Thurs, 5:*30AM - 4:*00PM).
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
