Position Summary:
To lead or perform the maintenance, repair/refurbishment of all company equipment. Fabrication of necessary parts or equipment. Lead facilities and property maintenance.
Main duties and Responsibilities:
- Disassembles machines and removes parts for repair, using a variety of tools.
- Reassembles machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work.
- Participate in all building maintenance needs and functions as assigned.
- Maintain facility yard utilizing Zero Turn Mower and Tractor with several attachments.
- Starts machines and observes mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problems.
- Lubricates machines, machine parts, or other equipment, according to specified procedures.
- Installs, replaces, or changes machine parts and attachments, according to production specifications.
- Records repairs and machine maintenance information.
- Collaborates with other workers to repair or move machines, machine parts, or equipment.
- Troubleshoot machinery using critical thinking theories and process of elimination.
- Perform other tasks or duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum high school education or equivalent, some trade school preferred
Experience:
1 year or less of progressively responsible manufacturing maintenance experience with an emphasis on high-volume metal fabrication (e.g. forming, cutting, welding) and assembly. Robotic experience preferred, automotive or transportation sector experience a plus.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in executing planned maintenance operations Solid understanding of technical aspects of plumbing, carpentry, welding, electrical systems etc.
- Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment.
- Ability to keep track of and report on activity.
- Exceptional problem solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
- Must have a can-do attitude combined with a high energy level.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts and extended hours as necessary to support production needs.
- Robotic experience preferred, automotive or transportation sector experience a plus.
- Be a self-starter and be able to work with little or no supervision.
- Strong electrical background (primary) o Building wiring – up to 480VAC
- PLC-Controls experience is a plus.
- Ability to read schematics.
- Strong mechanical aptitude (secondary)
- Able to do basic metal fabrication.
- Sawing, grinding, drilling.
- Manual machining experience is a plus.
- Ability to read blueprints.
