Business Intelligence Analyst

SUMMARY :
The main function of a Business Systems Analyst is to gather business requirements. In addition to the analysis, design, test, and implementation of new features and functions into the applicable applications and functions
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Works with key stakeholders within all business functions to align technology solutions with business strategies
Gathers requirements from business units and functions
Translates requirements to technical and functional specifications for use by programmers and developers
Works with teams to drive business priorities and track completion of work
Demonstrates an informed knowledge of business functions to resolve problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities
Supports one or more highly complex business processes
Works on multiple projects as a project team member / coordinator
Serves as a liaison between the datacenter operational organizations with business counterparts in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs
QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred
At least 5-7 years' experience required
Basic knowledge of programming languages in order to comprehend reading code and basic functions
Ability to create business solutions that increase competitive advantage
Ability to exercise good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
Project management skills in order to handle diverse projects, often times simultaneously, and meet aggressive deadlines
Ability to solve technical problems / processes and understand complex details
Ability to increase operating efficiency with produce high quality technical solutions
A high level of interpersonal and verbal communication skills necessary to relate to other people at their systems knowledge level
Ability to analyze complex situations and problems and do the necessary research using multiple sources of information to arrive at innovative solutions
Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering theories
Ability to read technical specifications and schematics
Typical Day in the Role :
Purpose of the Team : The team works on power and water efficiency for data centers. It is a relatively new team and currently understaffed. They are looking to bring on help to complete high-priority work related to sustainability and accurately measuring data centers for certain metrics
Key Projects : Most of the work the team is involved in is related to sustainability. However, he did not specify any particular key projects or initiatives, noting that the work is crucial for accurately measuring data centers for certain metrics
Typical Task Breakdown and Operating Rhythm : The role will consist of 20% collab, 20% pulling data, 30% meetings, Program Management 20%, 20% heads down

Candidate Requirements :
Years of Experience Required : at least 5 years overall years of experience in the field.
Degrees or Certifications Required : No degree is required to be eligible for this role. Preferred (nice to have) any kind of data center experience, PMP (Project Management Professional) certification, azure certifications
Best vs. Average : The ideal resume would contain, including impact data in their resume, such as specific achievements and measurable outcomes (e.g., ""achieved a 2% increase in efficiency"").
Indications of continuous learning and professional development.
Military experience, particularly Navy experience, which is valued for understanding the work.
Performance Indicators : Performance will be assessed based on quality and quantity of work completed, feedback from team, meeting deadlines.
