Role: Environmental Specialist (Electromechanics, Product development, PM)/ HWTE Module Compliance Support
Location: Austin, TX (Day 1 Onsite, Hybrid-3 days a week)

General Requirements:
- Candidate MUST have prior experience working in a Consumer Electronics or comparable field in a Technical role/Function
- Candidates should have the ability to understand mechanical and electromechanical designs, including identification of ingress pathways.
- Individuals with engineering and program management background to apply their skills to support identification of compliance impacting materials and components, data collection of material and component design information to support compliance assessments, and coordination with pertinent cross-functional stakeholders.
- Candidate should be able to work simultaneously across multiple focus areas, while maintaining documentation and traceability
- Candidates should also be able to organize and track impacts of designs and material selections across use in multiple assemblies and systems.
- Candidates shall have to work exceptionally well in a fast-paced environment and multitask between tasks/projects with various interdependencies.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, while engaging with multiple activities simultaneously
- Passion for environmental sustainability and user safety
- Experience in documenting process and procedures
- Strong communication skills and thrives in both collaborative and independent work environments
Technical Requirements
- BS degree in Engineering or Science preferred with at least 2 years of experience in a hardware product development environment
- Familiarity with Technical Drawings and specifications, including 2D and 3D Drawings, and EE Schematics
- Capability of understanding location of design components and potential ingress pathways
- Working experience collaborating with engineering and overseas contract manufacturing partners
- Ability to organize and track data utilizing spreadsheet tools (Numbers experience a plus) across multiple parallel product developments
- Prior experience summarizing and communicating presentations to leadership
- Working level familiarity with product chemical and or energy/repairability regulations desired
- Understanding of visualization tools (Tableau, Airtable) a plus
- Familiarity with Bills of Materials, and manufacturing documents a plus
- Proficient in productivity software (Spreadsheets, Keynotes)
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Collect material information from Design Engineering and Contract Manufacturing Partners
- Collaborate with SMEs to review material, part, and component usage and characteristics against regulatory and internal requirements
- Tracking material, parts, and component utilization across multiple programs
- Documenting and ensuring all assigned modules and programs release without the need for re-work, waivers, or field findings due to compliance issues
- Cataloguing a detailed compliance document including all material and part utilization, as well as compliance results for each designated program or sub-system.
- Develop training documentation
- A typical day would include (but not limited to) - Outreach and intake of material data, identification and collection of material and component samples, distribution of pertinent data and samples to pertinent labs and stakeholders, and documentation of data and sample tracking, including generation of pertinent SOPs for standardization.
- Prepare exec presentations and communicate findings with key stakeholder
