Scope of Work
The Board-Certified Behavior Analyst shall be responsible for conducting behavioral assessments and subsequently designing behavior analytic interventions for individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities. The Board-Certified Behavior Analyst will be working as a part of an interdisciplinary team at Helen DeVos Children's Hospital on the Medical Psychiatric Unit, providing consultation to patients with developmental disabilities and autism spectrum disorder on primary medical floors, and offering brief consultations and groups in the outpatient behavioral health clinic in collaboration with other behavioral health team members.
- Work collaboratively with Helen DeVos Children's Hospital team members, patients and patients’ families to provide behavior analytic services to individuals with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities.
- Offer behavioral analytic assessment and intervention via brief consultation to patients within Helen DeVos Children's Hospital
- Develop and help run groups for autism education, social skills, and other types of groups for patients with autism and their caregivers
Qualifications
- Candidate must possess a master’s degree.
- 1 to 3 years’ experience working as Board Certified Behavior Analyst (preferred).
- Candidate must be certified by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst; if/when Michigan offers licensure for behavior analysts; candidates will be required to hold Michigan license as a behavior analyst.
- Thorough understanding of principals of behavior analysis.
- Familiarity with individuals with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities
