About the Job:
This is a full-time opportunity for a Medical Technologist to work in a dynamic and fast-paced laboratory environment. You will be responsible for performing various laboratory tests and procedures, including routine and complex chemical, hematologic, microscopic, morphologic immunologic, and microbiologic procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will independently perform laboratory tests and procedures, maintaining appropriate technical and organizational skills within established turn-around times.
- You will apply advanced knowledge, training, and clinical judgment to release quality patient test results, evaluate instrument performance, and identify technical causes of unexpected test results.
- You will standardize, calibrate, and perform preventative maintenance on laboratory equipment and instruments.
- You will participate in the development and design of new test procedures and methodologies, and assist in the evaluation and introduction of new instruments or procedures.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must have a Baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college/university with 16 semester hours in biology and 16 semester hours in chemistry. You must also have completion of a NAACLS accredited clinical internship or equivalent experience/training as required by the ASCP Board of Certification.
