Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Infection Prevention Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing healthcare quality and safety by driving operational improvements and implementing infection prevention protocols across various clinical and non-clinical settings.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in epidemiology and infection control, with experience in analyzing existing processes and developing sustainable practices. They will also possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to educate staff and patients on infection control measures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze existing processes and develop sustainable practices to enhance healthcare quality and safety
- Implement infection prevention protocols across various clinical and non-clinical settings
- Educate staff and patients on infection control measures
- Conduct ongoing surveillance to identify and mitigate risks related to infections
- Participate in the development of health system policies and procedures to ensure rigorous infection control standards
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, medical technology, or education related to epidemiology
- ~2 years of relevant Clinical or Infection Prevention experience
- CRT-Medical Technologist, Certified (MT) - ASCP American Society for Clinical Pathology
- CRT-Infection Prevention and Control, Certified - CBIC Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology, Inc within 3 years after hire
