What are the responsibilities and job description for the Courier position at Corewell Health?
- Promptly and courteously picks-up specimens/packages from Beaumont Laboratory clients. Identifies specimen(s) at pick-up and verifies drop-off on the PDA handheld. Delivers specimens to designated Beaumont Hospital Laboratory locations.
- Accepts supplies on the hand held, loads into vehicles, delivers supplies, samples, packages and other business-related inventory to Beaumont Outreach clients, Beaumont Hospital departments (RO, TR, GP, FH, DB, Wayne, Taylor, and Trenton), and other laboratories. Records with signature from client on the hand held.
- Picks up sharps containers and fills out disposal manifest. Picks up returned supplies from clients and returns via the hand held.
- Provides stat pick up service with a TAT expectation of 90% delivered to any Beaumont Laboratory for processing within two hours.
- Creates containers for Anatomic Pathology and various Lab Departments. Delivers containers consisting of biopsies, slides, micro and other shared specimens for processing.
- Participates in vehicle maintenance programs as assigned.
- Required High School Diploma or equivalent
- Courier experience. Preferred
- LIC-Driver's License - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
