Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement strategies to prevent and control infections in our healthcare facilities.
• Analyze and measure existing processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers, patients, and families to educate them about infection control and develop policies and procedures to ensure rigorous infection control standards.
• Utilize epidemiology and safety information to analyze and synthesize plans to mitigate risks related to infections and streamline processes or improve performance.
• Facilitate quality improvement activities to establish a culture of safe and infection-free care.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Medical Technology, or Education related to Epidemiology
• 2 years of relevant Clinical or Infection Prevention experience
• LIC-Registered Nurse (RN) - State of Michigan OR CRT-Medical Technologist, Certified (MT) - ASCP American Society for Clinical Pathology AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days
