What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fitness Instructor position at Corewell Health?
- Be prepared for each class.
- Start and finish each class on time, allowing ample time to greet and follow up with participants.
- Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with each participant.
- Communicate with customers and coworkers in order to ensure the highest level of service and customer experience.
- May teach individual one on one classes (or) offsite classes as appropriate and directed.
- Greets customers internal and external with a smile, direct eye contact, and a pleasant professional voice; gives full attention until the transaction is completed; willing to change to meet your customer's needs; explains his/her role/expectations to his/her customers; connects customers properly to the resources they need. Tells customers what should happen next. Acknowledges service problems (No excuses or blames apologizes for their dissatisfaction; acknowledges customer's feelings). Learns about/from service problems (Listens; Talks; Learns). Acts on service problems (Addresses customer's concerns; designs better solutions; follows up, as needed).
- Required High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of relevant experience instruction of the specific designated class area. Preferred
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 60 Days required Or
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 60 Days required
