We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at Lakeland Hospital St Joseph in the Critical Care Unit (CCU).
About the Role
The CCU at Lakeland Hospital St Joseph is an 18-bed mixed ICU managing adult surgical, trauma, neuro, medical, and cardiothoracic/vascular patients. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2, with residents and attendings present for both shifts to support continued medical care and treatment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care to patients, incorporating patient-family centered care principles
- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge patients, partnering with and utilizing patient/family input and goals in planning the plan of care and developing teaching strategies for patient/family; documents education and learning appropriately in health records
Requirements
- Associates in Nursing or Bachelors in Nursing within 5 years
- Graduates from a non-accredited school of nursing must have at least one year of acute care experience or at least two years of experience in a licensed healthcare role and must have successfully passed the NCLEX licensure examination
- NIH Stroke Certification - NIHSS National Institute of Health Stroke Scale within 90 days
