About the Job
\This critical care nurse position at Corewell Health is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a member of our intensive care unit team, you will be working closely with residents and attendings to develop and implement individualized patient plans. Your expertise in assessing and managing complex patient needs will be invaluable to our team.
\Our intensive care unit is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including IABP, CRRT, EEG-continuous monitoring, Acumen IQ, ICP monitoring, BIS monitoring, and TTM devices. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless communication and effective decision-making.
\Responsibilities
\- Provide direct patient care to critically ill adults in accordance with evidence-based practices and hospital policies \
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, prioritizing patient needs and adjusting plans as necessary \
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and communicate effectively regarding patient status and concerns
Qualifications
\- AAS or BSN degree in nursing; BSN preferred within five years \
- Graduates from non-accredited nursing programs must have at least one year of acute care experience or at least two years of experience in a licensed healthcare role; successful NCLEX licensure examination required \
- Mi RN licensure; AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days; AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 90 days; NIH Stroke Certification - NIHSS National Institute of Health Stroke Scale within 90 days
