Receptionist Surgery Waiting Room

Part time temporary, 2:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Monday to Friday

Job Summary

Responsible for greeting visitors and/or staff and directing them to the appropriate resource, from a position of high visibility.

Performs clerical duties to support the area of responsibility.

Essential Duties

• Greets, communicates with, and assists visitors, staff and/or patients, directing them to the appropriate resource.
• Answers telephone and provides/relays information in a manner consistent with caring, respect, and individual needs.
• Performs general clerical duties.
• Completes special projects as assigned, with specific direction.
• Ensures that required documentation for activities within areas of responsibility is performed in an accurate and timely manner.
• Actively participates in safety initiatives and risk mitigating measures where appropriate and completes all position and unit safety related competencies and requirements on a timely basis.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent, or HS student with working permit
• Relevant experience in customer service, receptionist, call center, health care or clerical.
• Basic computer skills, excellent interpersonal and telephone skills.
