Job Summary

Contributes to patients' overall research experience; with principal investigator oversight, may enroll participants, collects and documents data from patient records/surveys, and manages research specimens; provides administrative support to research teams.

Essential Functions

  • Supports the research team (PI and research personnel) and ancillary departments; supports the research process; contributes to the patients’ overall research experience.
  • May screen, consent, and enroll subjects on research studies with low regulatory-, clinical-, and operational complexity.
  • Conducts surveys; abstracts or otherwise collects, documents, de-identifies, and enters data; compiles reports.
  • Collects, processes, and ships research specimens; assists with test article accountability.
  • Supports team and research leadership with various administrative duties (e.g. schedules patient visits, team meetings, filing, performs patient follow-up calls, prepares and manages research documents, assists with patient navigation, etc.).

Qualifications

Required

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent in a health, science, business or computer related field.
  • CRT-Shipping and Handling of Specimen Training-Certification - UNKNOWN Unknown 90 Days
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 90 Days Or
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 90 Days

Preferred

  • 1 year of relevant experience with medical records data extraction
  • 2 years of relevant experience with patients in a clinical setting
