Job Summary
Works in a highly collaborative team environment involving extensive coordination of the design, development, implementation, execution, and distribution of communications plans specifically for the revenue cycle department of Corewell Health. This includes all related materials for internal and/or external clients. Acts as the point of contact for customers concerning revenue cycle communications. Daily and project management is supervised by the Manager. Produces a variety of communications materials ensuring they meet established Corewell Health brand standards.
Essential Functions
- Communicates, collaborates, and coordinates with revenue cycle team members and leadership on communication and program planning, implementation, and execution.
- Supports customers in developing and implementing communications for both internal and external audiences.
- Develops and edits articles by soliciting input, interviewing individuals for information, writing copy, and obtaining internal approvals.
- Adheres to corporate brand standards to ensure consistency in all communications.
- Supports the revenue cycle internal websites (SharePoint) and teams, including development and maintenance.
- Works with a collaborative team to support the department's overall objectives.
- Provides support in creating and coordinating department materials for various audiences.
- Designs, creates, and shares multiple forms of materials.
- Helps create and maintain the revenue cycle voice and consistent messaging for executive leadership.
- Acts as the point of contact to guide requests and needs in all areas.
- Builds and maintains forums and sites for housing and communicating any messaging.
- Supports project management by developing communication plans and distributing information for major projects.
- Tracks and monitors department activity to ensure effective communication and change management.
- Communicates relevant information within the department to ensure understanding and awareness among team members.
- Maintains awareness of functionality and work for all revenue cycle departments
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's Degree Journalism, English, Communications, Marketing or Public Relations or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Skills/knowledge/abilities typically gained through less than 2 years experience in work environment with transferrable skills, especially health care communications.
