About this Unit
Our Acute Inpatient Rehab unit is a CARF-accredited 18-bed facility specializing in patients with CVA, SCI, TBI, amputations, ortho, cardiac, and debility. The average length of stay is 12-14 days. These patients require both medical and physical care, necessitating participation in 3 hours of therapy daily.

We are a health system comprised of three hospitals, an outpatient surgery center, a regional cancer center, rehabilitation centers, two long-term care residences, home care and hospice services, and 34 affiliate physician practice locations. We provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient medical services throughout Southwest Michigan.
Scope of Work
The Registered Nurse (RN) utilizes the nursing process to provide professional care, incorporating patient-family centered principles. They assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge patients under the direction of the Nurse Leader, adhering to Corewell Health policies and procedures. The RN recognizes the impact of nursing care on patient outcomes and partners with patients/families to develop teaching strategies and document education in the health record.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Nursing
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing within 5 years
- Graduates from non-accredited nursing schools must have at least one year of acute care experience or two years of experience in a licensed healthcare role and pass the NCLEX licensure examination
- MI Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days
