Job Summary:
The RN utilizes the nursing process to provide professional nursing care by incorporating patient-family centered care principles. The RN works under the direction of the Nurse Leader and follows Corewell Health policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge patients
- Develop teaching strategies for patients and families
- Document education and learning in the health record
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Graduates from non-accredited schools of nursing must have at least one year of acute care experience or two years of experience in a licensed healthcare role
- MIC Registered Nurse (RN) license
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days
- NIH Stroke Certification - NIHSS National Institute of Health Stroke Scale within 90 days
- AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within one year
- AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within one year
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) - ENA Emergency Nurses Association certification within two years
