Labor and Delivery is a Level 3 birthing center with 17 LDR rooms, 3 OR suites, a 3-bed recovery room, and an 8-bed triage. Antepartum is a 9-bed unit focused on high-risk pregnancy.

Scope of work
The RN uses the nursing process to provide professional care, incorporating patient-family centered principles to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge. The RN provides quality patient care under the Nurse Leader, according to Corewell Health policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Nursing required
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required within 5 years for new graduates or nurses with less than one year of experience
- Graduates from non-accredited schools must have at least one year of acute care experience or two years in a licensed healthcare role, and pass the NCLEX licensure examination
- Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license required or obtained within 60 days of hire
- AHA, ARC, or Canadian Heart and Stroke Basic Life Support certification required upon hire/transfer
- NRP certification within 6 months of hire/transfer
- EFM Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certification within 1 year
- Specialty Certification highly recommended within 2 years
- 1 year of RN experience, with preference given to L&D RN experience
