What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN Primary Care Triage position at Corewell Health?
Scope of Work
As a Nurse with Corewell Health, providing top-notch patient care is paramount. You'll use your critical thinking skills and the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. You'll be responsible for upholding the standards of nursing excellence as described by the ANA, including the code of ethics. You'll be a vital member of our team and strive to achieve the best possible outcomes, making a real difference in the lives of our patients and their families.
Responding to simple condition questions and chart review questions from patients
Managing patient calls and patient-advice messages
Providing nursing level education to patients on basic topics such as: preventive care, HTN, and vaccines where appropriate
Managing home nursing notes
Converting acute care needs and requests to visits
Qualifications
Required Associate's Degree Nursing
Required Bachelor's Degree Bachelors of Science in Nursing must be obtained within 5 years for those who start in this RN role on or after January 1, 2017 (Spectrum Health Grand Rapids Hospitals, Zeeland Hospital, United Hospital and Kelsey Hospital)
Required Bachelor's Degree Bachelors of Science in Nursing must be obtained within 5 years for those who start in this RN role on or after January 1, 2018 (Spectrum Health Reed City and Big Rapids Hospitals)
Required Bachelor's Degree Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Nursing must be obtained within 5 years for those who starting in this RN role on or after May 1, 2020 (Spectrum Health Gerber Hospital, Pennock Hospital, Ludington Hospital).
Required Bachelor's Degree Bachelors of Science in Nursing must be obtained within 7 years for those who start in this RN role on or after January 1, 2017 (Spectrum Health Gerber Hospital, Pennock Hospital, Ludington Hospital).
Required Bachelor's Degree Bachelors of Science in Nursing must be obtained within 7 years for those who start in this RN role between February 22, 2016 and December 31, 2017 (Spectrum Health Reed City and Big Rapids Hospitals).
Required Bachelor's Degree Bachelors of Science in Nursing must be obtained within 7 years for those who start in this RN role between January 1, 2013 and December 31, 2016 (Spectrum Health Grand Rapids Hospitals and Zeeland Hospital)
Required Bachelor's Degree Bachelors of Science in Nursing must be obtained within 7 years for those who start in this RN role between February 1, 2013 and December 31, 2016 (Spectrum Health United Hospital and Kelsey Hospital)
Preferred Bachelor's Degree Spectrum Health Continuing Care and Spectrum Health Medical Group do not require a Bachelors of Science in Nursing
