About the Role:
The Short Stay Unit at Corewell Health is a 50-bed unit, specializing in caring for adult patients with various diagnoses. As a member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will provide nursing care to patients, evaluating their progress and modifying care plans as necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Provides nursing care to patients under the direct supervision of the registered nurse/provider.
- Implements nursing care procedures and evaluates patient progress.
- Assists in modification of care plan as necessary.
- Provides teaching to patients and their families.
Qualifications:
- Successful completion of a Practical Nursing program from an approved school.
- Completion of pharmacology course work (NAPNES or minimum documented 32 hours).
- Active and unrestricted Licensed Practice Nurse license in the State of Michigan.
- Requires interpersonal skills adequate to explain procedures and calm fears of patients and families.
