Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Instrument Processing Specialist to join our team at Corey Then Periodontics and Dental Implants. As an Instrument Processing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and sterilization of medical instruments.
Your primary responsibility will be to collect and process used and contaminated equipment, instruments, and supplies for decontamination and sterilization. You will also be responsible for manually cleaning supplies of contaminants, operating and maintaining decontamination equipment, and preparing and packaging decontaminated supplies for sterilization.
In addition to these tasks, you will need to examine supplies meticulously to ensure they are properly cleaned and sanitized. You will also be responsible for routinely testing and reporting any issues or problems with sterilization equipment, as well as sterilizing, prepping, wrapping, and organizing equipment into instrument trays for use during medical procedures.
You will also prepare and deliver all necessary equipment and instruments for procedures, maintain records of sterilization procedures, sterilized items, equipment maintenance and supplies, and monitor inventory and supplies.
