We are looking for a summer intern to join our dynamic Dallas-based events team. Comprised of excellent communicators, enthusiastic and creative problem solvers, the events team is committed to providing a high level of client service with a solutions-focused, flexible attitude.
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate is eager to take on any task, big or small, a believer in teamwork makes the dream work, and someone willing to come to the table with creative ideas and solutions. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to learn through supporting the team in various capacities. The position will require a variety of short-term and long-term assignments, therefore strong time management and organization skills are essential.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Supporting the Sr. Conference and Event Specialist in the development and execution of events, from concept to completion.
- Working closely with studio leaders to ensure the success of their events, aligning with both sector-specific goals and the broader objectives of the firm.
- Assisting with venue selection, logistics, and vendor coordination.
- Providing logistical assistance during events, including setup and cleanup, registration, and guest management.
- Ensuring event materials and equipment are prepared and organized.
- Handling event-related paperwork, such as contracts, invoices, and receipts.
- Tracking event tasks and budgets and ensuring adherence to financial guidelines.
- Assisting with the ordering, tracking, and delivering of promotional items.
- Working closely with the marketing and communications team, to support them as needed.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Ideal candidate is pursuing a degree in Hospitality, Communications, Marketing or related field.
- Works comfortably and confidently under pressure.
- Highly skilled in verbal and written communication.
- Possesses exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Excels in relationship building, intra-personal skills and collaboration.
- Emphasizes proactivity, resourcefulness, and the ability to multi-task within overlapping deadlines.
- Must be a team player!
- Previous event planning experience is a bonus but not required.
The Summer Events Intern will be a part of Corgan’s Marketing team and work in partnership with the department to support the firm across all 19 offices. The internship begins in late May/early June 2025 and concludes in August 2025, start and end dates can be finalized upon hire.
