Corinthia Hotels has announced a management agreement with the Reuben Brothers to operate the former The Surrey Hotel, located on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. The famed property will undergo an extensive renovation and is slated to open in 2024.
The Surrey, a Corinthia Hotel is seeking to recruit a Front Office Guest Service Attendant. The Guest Service Attendant plays an important role to ensure the smooth check in and checkout of guests and to maintain and exceed The Surrey, A Corinthia Hotel standards. The Guest Service Attendant will also report any comments, VIP arrivals or departures and other issues as they occur throughout the day to the Front Office Manager and also ensure that the standards of the division meet and exceed the quality standards set.

Summary Of Responsibilities
- Supports the hotel operation in times of demand.
- Maintains effective communication within the department and ensure that the Front Office Managers are kept well informed of any problems/queries that have arisen.
- Liaises with other departments to ensure good communication and offer support.
- Check in and checkout within the Hotel specific requirements
- Checks and ensures all guest’s bills are charged correctly and posted into the respective folios correctly.
- Ensures that reservations correspondence checks are followed up and auctioned as per instructions.
- Liaises with the Director of Guest Experience to ensure VIP allocations are made, amenities arranged and VIP guests met.
- Ensure a high quality when capturing guest data.
- Minimum 2 years in a similar position within a 5 star hotel.
- Written and verbal fluency in English. Fluency in another language an advantage.
- Knowledge of property management systems (e.g. Micros/Fidelio, Opera, toast, etc.).
- Degree/Diploma in Hospitality Management or Tourism (desirable).
