About the Position
The Water-Wastewater Operator I is an entry-level position responsible for assisting in the operation and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical work, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds. A valid driver's license and willingness to obtain a First-Level operator license within 1 year of employment are also required.
Key Responsibilities and Expectations
The successful candidate will assist in emergency procedures, conduct routine maintenance tasks, prepare reports, and maintain accurate records of plant operations. They will also be responsible for communicating effectively with customers, reporting safety concerns to management, and participating in training programs to enhance their knowledge and skills.
