Experience & Requirements
- Must be certified as a social worker (LCSW) in the state of employment.
- Experience in providing social work services in an inpatient psychiatric facility.
- Must complete satisfactory background investigation.
A background check, security clearance and drug screening are required for this role.

Responsibilities
- Provision of full range of social work services to assigned patients. Services to include psychosocial assessment; group, family and individual therapy; and discharge planning. All services to be documented in patient's medical record.
- Participation in treatment team activities on assigned unit to include development and periodic review of patient Treat Record.
- Provision of crisis intervention services upon staff or patient self referral.
- Provision of group and individual therapy and psycho educational groups as requested by the treatment team. Provision of these services includes the completion of on-going progress notes.
- Coordination of aftercare planning for patients appropriate for discharge from the facility.
- Participation in unit morning report.
- Preparation of reports and records as requested.
- Administer and score psychological tests under the direction of the Clinical Director if applicable
- Perform mental health screenings and evaluations.
- Carry an appropriate caseload.
- Attend mental health treatment team meetings.
- Maintain required documentation.
- Crisis intervention.
