Dental Insurance Coordinator

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Insurance Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing insurance-related tasks including but not limited to submitting claims, following up on and resubmitting claims and appeals. The position will also be responsible for contacting patients with outstanding balances to explain insurance denials or downgrades. This team member will be responsible for working AR and collecting all outstanding balances. The Insurance Coordinator will work with other team members to ensure that all necessary documentation is accurate and up-to-date while providing exceptional support to both patients and providers.

Duties

• Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits prior to appointments. Other admin positions will work alongside this position to guarantee that this is done appropriately.
• Process insurance claims and follow up on outstanding claims to ensure timely payment.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to gather necessary information for insurance submissions. This position must ensure that all appropriate documentation, xrays, and photos are obtained in order to submit to insurance.
• Assist patients with inquiries regarding their insurance coverage and billing statements.
• Ensure all office procedures related to insurance processing are followed efficiently.
• Applicants must have previous experience with insurance in a dental setting.
• We are a fast paced office so applicant must be able to work quickly and efficiently while being comfortable with technology and new systems that will be required to learn.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a dental office setting as head of insurance coordination is a requirement.
• Familiarity with medical records management and insurance verification processes.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
