Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Routing Specialist will be responsible for developing and optimizing pest control technician routes to ensure timely and cost-effective route optimization. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Route Planning:
  • Develop and implement efficient routing strategies to optimize technician schedules.
  • Analyze delivery routes and make adjustments to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Coordinate with drivers and transportation partners to ensure timely services.
• Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Collect and analyze data on route performance and route efficiency.
  • Prepare and present reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as schedule times, costs, and route optimization.
  • Utilize routing software and tools to enhance decision-making processes.
  • Address and resolve any issues or delays in the process.
• Customer Service:
  • Maintain open communication with customers regarding schedules and any potential changes.
  • Address customer inquiries and concerns
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through efficient and reliable service.
  • Ensure all routing plans comply with service requirements.
• Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in routing and logistics.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in routing technology.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and enhance overall efficiency.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
• High School diploma or GED required
• Proven experience in route planning, logistics coordination, or a similar role.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in routing software and tools.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and GPS tracking tools.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of pest control industry.
• Ability to perform the essential job functions, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards safely and successfully
• Regular and punctual attendance
• Must be able to talk, listen, and speak clearly on the telephone

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

Working Conditions:

• Standard office environment
• May require extended hours during peak delivery periods.
