What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembly Helper position at Corley Manufacturing Company?
- Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists Assembly A or B under the close supervision of a supervisor in assembling parts, subassemblies, final assemblies, accessories, attachments, optional equipment, and any other tasks required by the assembly team.
- May need to retrieve parts, materials, and components from other areas of the plant as required by the assembly team and prepare these items for assembly.
- Follows shop orders, sketches, specifications, diagrams, prints, or verbal instructions.
- Assembly helpers are expected to work alongside the assembly team. However, if the assembly team is temporarily absent, the helper may continue the assembly work independently without requiring the presence of another assembly worker.
- Manages and moves materials, parts, and assemblies manually or using handling equipment.
- Should have a solid background and the skills to operate hand and power tools for assembly tasks, including filing, grinding, drilling, painting, fitting, and other related activities.
- Performs additional tasks as needed.
- Training provided.
- Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Mechanical training or experience helpful.
- Maintain and follow safe working practices at all times.
- Capable of reading and understanding basic instructions, brief correspondence, and memos.

Pay: $17.01 - $19.60 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed
