We’re seeking an experienced Development professional to lead the development of renewable energy and natural gas-powered generation projects as we seek to monetize dislocations in the power markets.
Position Overview:
As a Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing all aspects of developing new power generation assets for the Company, with an initial focus on our 600 acre Fort Stockton portfolio, which currently has 125 MW of operational data center capacity.Your role will oversee leading utility interconnection efforts, navigating permitting processes, selecting technology and partners, and ensuring projects align with operational needs and strategic goals. In this role you will be able to leverage deep expertise already in the company in power, engineering, and capital markets, while increasing the execution cadence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of renewable and/or natural gas energy projects from greenfield through construction.
- Oversee utility interconnection applications, studies, and coordination with ISOs/RTOs and utilities.
- Manage environmental permitting at local, state, and federal levels, including EPA requirements.
- Evaluate turbine technologies and manage EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contract development.
- Coordinate internal teams and external stakeholders including engineers, consultants, permitting agencies, and legal.
- Ensure project timelines, budgets, and milestones are met and aligned with company objectives.
- Work in partnership with Strategy and Capital Markets orientated professionals to develop business cases and support commercial contracting with third parties.
- Intermittent travel required for client meetings and team offsites.

Requirements
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in power generation development, preferably in renewable and/or natural gas sectors in a deregulated market.
- Strong understanding of utility interconnection and transmission planning.
- Experience navigating permitting and environmental compliance processes.
- Familiarity with turbine technology selection and EPC management.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Energy Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Preferred Skills:
- PMP certification or equivalent.
- Experience in the ERCOT market.
- Experience with energy procurement, PPAs, and land acquisition.
- Experience with wholesale Wind, Solar and Battery selection and installation.
- Knowledge of energy markets and regulatory frameworks.
