We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager of Supply Chain Procurement and Material Control to join our dynamic team.
Position Overview
As the Senior Manager of Supply Chain Procurement and Material Control, you will oversee the entire supply chain process, from vendor selection to material delivery, ensuring the smooth execution of production schedules. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering and Business Development, to drive vendor performance, manage inventories, and optimize supply chain efficiency. Your strategic leadership will be key to scaling our operations and meeting production targets in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Vendor Selection and Management: Work with Engineering and Business Development to select and manage the best vendors for our silicon needs, including chip packaging, assembly, testing, as well as board and system components.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and ensuring on-time delivery.
- Production Support: Monitor and execute solutions to eliminate material shortages, ensuring production build schedules are met and delivery dates are maintained.
- Inventory Management: Oversee critical commodities to ensure continuous supply for production needs, from prototype to pilot production builds.
- Cost Reduction Initiatives: Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities in the supply chain through strategic sourcing and supplier negotiations.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all procurement and supply chain activities comply with regulatory requirements and proactively manage supply chain risks.
- Process Improvement: Continuously assess and enhance supply chain processes for scalability and operational efficiency.
- Sustainability Initiatives: Lead sustainable sourcing efforts to align with environmental and ethical standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field or equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, materials management, or supply chain operations, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of engineering documentation, including BOMs, PCB assemblies, and technical drawings.
- Proficiency with advanced planning and forecasting software.
- Exceptional analytical skills, with a demonstrated aptitude for working with numbers and data forecasting.
- Proven experience in leading and mentoring teams.
- Strong knowledge of supplier contracts, terms, and compliance standards.
- Excellent project management skills with a track record of managing large, complex supply chain initiatives.
- Preferred: Supply chain certifications such as APICS CPIM, CSCP, or ISM CPSM. Experience working with global suppliers and managing international logistics.
