The Dishwasher/Prep’s main focus is to provide a clean, safe, and comfortable work environment for guests of Cornbread in compliance with all state/local laws, and company standards.
NOTICE: DUE TO THE SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF RESPONSES FROM THIS JOB POSTING, ONLY CANDIDATES WHO MEET THE REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS LISTED BELOW WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR AN INITIAL PHONE INTERVIEW.
Duties Include but are not limited to:
- Performs deep cleaning task
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools, including dishwashing machine, hand wash stations, and pot scrubbing stations
- Ensure that dishware is cleaned, sanitized, and stored properly (Dishes have to be stored turned down)
- Maintain the organization of all chemical and cleaning supplies; including the proper storage of mops, brooms, etc
- Maintain the safety of the guest and the security of the restaurant by immediately reporting all suspicious occurrences and hazardous conditions within and around the perimeter of the restaurant
- Practice safe work habits to avoid injury to self and others
- Ensures an adequate amount of food is readily available and thoroughly washed
- Organize and maintain coolers with proper food availability
- Uses techniques for the preparation of food such as cutting, peeling, dicing, slicing, chopping, and storing
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
A lot of energy, willingness to work as part of team, and to help out where needed
Must already have or complete ServeSafe Handling Certification within 30 days of hire
Able to be detail-oriented organized, safety-minded, trustworthy, reliable, and efficient
Physical Requirements of the Job:
Able to move, walk and be on your feet during the course of your shift. Required to handle and move objects weighing up to 30 lbs. over short to moderate distances. Bending, stooping, reaching, pushing may be required to perform routine tasks. Able to handle wet dishes. Frequent use of stairs if needed. Push a broom or mop and climb a step-stool or ladder
