Responsibilities
- Perform account analysis and reconciliation to ensure the accuracy of financial data.
- Maintain the general ledger by recording journal entries and managing balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare and review financial reports in compliance with GAAP standards.
- Utilize financial software, such as QuickBooks, to manage accounts and streamline bookkeeping processes.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable, including vendor invoice management, bill payments, and credit card reconciliations.
- File and pay sales tax with the Department of Revenue, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor daily bank activities to record fees, deductions, and credits.
- Prepare budgets and forecasts by providing necessary financial information.
- Assist in maintaining operational records, such as gift certificate logs and shipping labels.
- Collaborate with the sales team to support financial aspects of sales transactions, ensuring a smooth customer experience.
Requirements
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, preferably within a retail or luxury goods environment.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and familiarity with GAAP principles.
- Strong skills in account reconciliation, financial reporting, and data entry.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities while meeting deadlines.
