Job Summary:
The Dental Receptionist plays a key role in providing excellent customer service, coordinating appointments, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations at the front desk. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a busy office setting.
The Dental Receptionist plays a key role in providing excellent customer service, coordinating appointments, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations at the front desk. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a busy office setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients warmly and ensure a positive check-in/check-out experience
- Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments via phone, email, and scheduling software
- Verify insurance coverage and handle billing questions
- Collect co-pays and payments; manage daily transactions
- Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality (HIPAA compliance)
- Coordinate with dental assistants, hygienists, and dentists to optimize workflow
- Handle incoming calls, emails, and inquiries professionally and efficiently
- Keep the reception area tidy and welcoming
Requirements:
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) required
- High school diploma or equivalent (some college or relevant certification a plus)
- Prior experience in a dental or medical office preferred
- Familiarity with dental software Eaglesoft is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay organized
