The Department of Education at Cornell College invites applications for a full-time Clinical Assistant Professor of Elementary Education beginning in August of 2025 for a three-year appointment with the possibility of renewal.  Teaching responsibilities include elementary education reading, science, and social studies methods courses, foundations of education courses, and supervision of student teachers.  Additional responsibilities include advising education majors, assisting with departmental work and college committee work.  Required qualifications : Experience teaching in K-6 settings, with preference given to candidates with post-secondary teaching experience.  Applicants must have a degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in an education-related field.  The Department seeks individuals committed to excellence and innovation in undergraduate education. Cornell’s One Course At A Time academic calendar is divided into eight- 3½ week blocks in which students take and faculty teach a single course.
