FACILITIES MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN 1STSHIFT Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Classification: Hourly Salary: Based on experience
Reports to: Department Supervisor
Overview: Primary function is to maintain the facility and move/set-up equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to
- Demonstrate safe work practices and equipment operation
- Provide support to the production operation by performing PM’s on equipment, i.e. cleaning, changing out motors, filters, bulbs, etc.
- Assist in all phases of moving and assembling equipment and furnishings throughout the facility, i.e., running conduit, hydraulic lines, air lines, etc.
- Prepare hazardous waste for proper disposal/shipment
- Facility repairs
- Keep work area neat and clean
- Other duties as assigned
Job Prerequisites
- Good mechanical ability
- Ability to read various measuring devices
- Forklift experience or ability to be trained
- Knowledge of safety precautions
- Good attendance record
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
Physical/Mental Requirements
- Full body movement/good eyesight
- Ability to work in noisy conditions
- Good hand eye coordination
- Ability to lift up to 80 pounds
- Exposure to chemicals, fumes, odors, dust, and oils
- Constant alertness
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
