SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
As a Quality Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards throughout our manufacturing processes. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement quality assurance procedures, conduct inspections, and analyze data to identify areas for improvement. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain quality metrics and support continuous improvement initiatives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Production teams to troubleshoot quality issues, lead root cause analyses, and implement corrective and preventative actions.
- Develop and implement quality assurance procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of manufacturing processes, materials, and finished products to identify defects and non-conformities.
- Analyze quality data, including defect rates, scrap rates, and customer complaints, to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain quality control plans, inspection procedures, and work instructions.
- Work closely with Supply Chain to ensure the quality of incoming materials and components.
- Participate in NPD projects to ensure that quality requirements are met from design through production.
- Provide training to employees on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, to optimize processes and reduce waste.
- Prepare quality reports and metrics for management review, highlighting KPIs and areas for improvement.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience working in a quality engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
What we’re looking for:
- Discrete manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 required.
- Quality Management certification through ASQ or similar preferred.
- Lean/Six Sigma certification preferred.
