What are the responsibilities and job description for the Activities Assistant position at Corner View Nursing & Rehabilitation?
Corner View Nursing and Rehabilitaion Center a skilled nursing facility searching for a FUN, HAPPY, CARING and COMPASSIONATE person to fill a Full time ACTIVITY ASSISTANT position. Position would assist the Life Enrichment Director with the completion of the residents individualized person-centered activity program. Person must be engaging, friendly and sociable and also able to work evenings and weekends.
Job Duties Include:
- Meeting with residents within 48 hours of admission to collect information on likes and dislikes to support needs
- Work various hours to ensure all activities are being performed
- Administering facility monthly newsletter to residents
- Is able to attend resident counsel if needed and provide insight
- Helps residents maintain their highest level of function by engaging in activities that support their overall needs
- Assists residents in coming to planned activities 30 minutes in advance
- Has a positive attitude towards residents, coworkers, families, and outside vendors at all times
- Assist with window visits for families and residents
- Help with scheduling family visits
Qualifications and Experiences:
- GED/ High School Diploma
- Previous experience in a like-role
- Experience with the elderly is helpful but not required
- Ability to lead a team/group
- Computer experience is required
